Vicki Lenore Thiele Mountain, age 78, of Perry, Illinois passed away at 4:09 p.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, Missouri.

She was born October 10, 1939 in Brown County, Illinois the daughter of Russell and Clare Hudelson Thiele.  She married W. Dean Mountain on June 22, 1957 at the Chambersburg Christian Church in Chambersburg, Illinois and he survives.

Mrs. Mountain owned and operated Vicki’s Beauty Salon in Perry for over 30 years.

She attended rural Brown and Pike County schools and graduated from Brown County High School with the class of 1957.  She then graduated from Quincy Beauty Academy in Quincy, Illinois.

Vicki was a member of the Perry United Methodist Church.  She was also a member of the Pike County Home Extension and was instrumental in starting the Pike County Color Drive several years ago.  Vicki enjoyed attending country music shows with her husband, crafting, knitting, painting and was a lifelong Brown County Hornets fan.

Survivors include her husband Dean Mountain of Perry.  2 sons Brian Mountain and Darin Mountain (Nicole) all of Perry.  2 sisters Carol Curry (Bob) of Bowling Green, Missouri and Terry Girardin (Lee) of Quincy, Illinois.  5 grandchildren Travis, Candace, Kayla, Shane and Shannon Mountain and 3 great grandchildren Kate, Mason and Kynsley Mountain also survive along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 son Michael Mountain.

Per her request, cremation will be accorded and a graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the Wilson Cemetery in Perry, Illinois with Rev. Dave Kelly officiating.   A luncheon will be served following the graveside service at the Perry United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Perry United Methodist Church.

Memorials are suggested to the Bright Star Missionaries.
