Betty Joan Hulett, age 83, of West Point, Illinois and formerly of Toccoa, Georgia and Mt. Sterling, Illinois passed away at 5:15 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at the Montebello Health Care Center in Hamilton, Illinois.
She was born May 21, 1936 in Quincy, Illinois the daughter of Emmett and Birdie Rust Butler. She married Richard Keirn Hulett in 1953 in Mt. Sterling, Illinois and he preceded her in death in 2006.
Mrs. Hulett worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for several years and retired from the Toccoa Nursing Center in Toccoa, Georgia.
She graduated from Brown County High School and also graduated from Blessing Hospital School of Nursing.
Betty was of the Catholic Faith. She always enjoyed making crafts, sewing, quilting, crocheting and painting.
Survivors include 2 children Mike Hulett (Carol) of Quincy, Illinois and Jean Slater of West Point, Illinois. 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 children George, Melanie, Rick, Jeff and John Hulett, 1 grandson Jason Turpin, 2 brothers Alma Butler in infancy and Raymond Butler and 1 sister Bertha McGuire.
Per her request cremation will be accorded and there will be no services.
