David Lynol Dunn, age 67, of Timewell, Illinois passed away at 7:15 a.m. Friday, December 29, 2017 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.

He was born March 25, 1950 in Hersman, Illinois the son of Herbert A. and Iva Mae Davis Dunn.  He married Barbara Fordyce on December 24, 1974 in Hersman, Illinois and to this union three children were born Patrick, Peggy and Michael.  He later married Christine “Chrissi” Robinson on August 28, 2001 in Mt. Sterling, Illinois and she preceded him in death on November 9, 2010. 

Mr. Dunn was a truck driver for Joe Reich Trucking for over 20 years.  He attended Brown County High School as a member of the class of 1968.

Mr. Dunn was a member of the Mt. Sterling First United Methodist Church.  Dave was a true nature lover and always enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family and teaching his grandchildren about nature. 

Survivors include 3 children Patrick Dunn (Cristy) of Timewell, Peggy Crumley of Meredosia and Michael Dunn of Mt. Sterling.  1 sister Sharon Kindhart (Cotton) of Timewell.  1 sister-in-law Marie Flynn of Mt. Sterling.  7 grandchildren Adrian and Cynthia Crumley, Christian, Macey, Olivia, Lindsey and Briella Dunn also survive along with several nieces and nephews including a special nephew, George Hilburn of Timewell.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother Larry Flynn.

Per his request, cremation will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2018 in the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling with Rev. Aaron Foster officiating. 

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until the time of services on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Brown County Against Cancer.
