Linda Christiansen

Linda Marnel Christiansen, age 64, of Quincy, Illinois and formerly of Mt. Sterling, Illinois passed away at 12:20 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.
She was born April 15, 1954 in Twin Falls, Idaho the daughter of Nelson Joseph and Marie Josephine Srajhans Ripa.  She married D. Scott Christiansen on January 4, 1980 in Castle Ford, Idaho and he preceded her in death on December 6, 2010. 

Linda was a homemaker and a loving care giver for her grandchildren.

She received both her bachelor’s degree in Education and master’s degree in forestry science from the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho.

Mrs. Christiansen had attended the Mt. Sterling First United Methodist Church.

Linda always enjoyed sewing and working on home improvements.

Survivors include 4 daughters Kellie Stratton (Aaron) of Quincy, Illinois, Lisa McNeff of Mt. Sterling, Illinois, Jill Christiansen and Hillary Christiansen both of Quincy, Illinois.  10 grandchildren Samuel and Charlotte Stratton, Jackson Christiansen-McNeff, Lylla McNeff, Melissa, Nichole, Oliver and Penelope Bourne and Elizabeth and Kathryn Christiansen.  1 brother Robert Ripa (Jane) of Oregon also survives along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2018 in the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling.

Cremation will be accorded following the visitation and burial will be at a later date in Ashton, Idaho.
