We were saddened to learn of Mike’s passing. There was nothing better than hearing Mike, in his deep, booming voice, preside over the Communion table at church and read Scripture. His voice made the words almost come to life! He will be sorely missed by many, many people. His influence will continue to be seen in the lives of his children. God does, and will, bring comfort to you during this hard time. This is the hardest time for people, but God is at His very best during these times, comforting and healing us. God bless all of you.

So sorry to hear this. I've known Mike since the late 1970's. He always came to school to talk about how his kids were doing. I first met him when he was driving a bus for the school, and had the route to bring afternoon kids in for half-day kindergarten the year I taught in the old Board Office building. No matter how slowly he drove, he always got there before my lunch time was over and he kept apologizing. He wanted to sit out front in the bus and keep the kids on there, but I told him just to be sure I was there and then let them out. To his family, our deepest sympathy on your loss. We will miss him.
