Susan and Marcia and families: Please accept our sympathy at your loss of a fantastic mother and grandmother. She was one of a kind. We became friends even before we moved to Brown County. At that time she was riding shotgun with Jim Mitchell in the Supervisor of Assessments office. The space allotted for that office was so small that one person could scarcely turn around. How they managed to efficiently operate that office from that tiny one room space is difficult to comprehend. Yet they did it. You always felt welcome in that office, and everyone knew that if you had a tax assessment problem Millie could explain it in language you could understand. When you departed you knew that help was at hand. Millie had a frankness coupled with a remarkable sense of humor. When one met her it was as if they had been friends for a lifetime. Throughout her post-retirement years it was a delight to meet her at an event. She could bring you up to speed in five minutes time. Please know that your family is in our hearts and prayers.
