Patricia Brake

Patricia Ann Brake, age 78, of Timewell, Illinois passed away at 7:40 p.m. Sunday, August 25, 2019 at her residence.

She was born October 24, 1940 in Springfield, Illinois the daughter Glenn Arthur and Margaret Lorraine Jensen O’Neal.  She married O. Wayne Brake on December 27, 1962 in Springfield, Illinois and he survives.

Mrs. Brake was a registered nurse for many years and had also worked as a real estate agent.  She graduated from Springfield High School and had received 3 bachelor’s degrees during her lifetime.

Patricia was of the Christian faith and had served as president of Hononegah, Illinois School District # 207 school board, where she also served as assistant coach of the drill team.  Patricia also served as president of Kinnikinnick, Illinois School District # 131 school board.  She was a member of multiple realtor organizations at both the state and local levels.  Patricia served as a volunteer and was on call for the American Red Cross for several years. 

Survivors include her husband O. Wayne Brake of Timewell, Illinois.  One daughter Kobra Hall (Scott) of Arlington Heights, Illinois.  2 grandchildren Griffin and Payton Hall both of Arlington Heights, Illinois.  2 sisters-in-law Janet Brake of Timewell, Illinois and Glenna Dormire (John) of Mt. Sterling, Illinois.  2 step brothers Donnie Rector (Dixie) and Bob Rector (Pam) also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother Doris O’Neal and 1 step sister Sharon Leffler. 

Per her request, cremation will be accorded and private burial will be in the Mounds Cemetery near Timewell, Illinois.

There will be no visitation.

Memorials are suggested to the Timewell Christian Church and may be left at the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling.
