Sheryl (Beatty) Krupps Geisler, 62 years old of Mount Sterling, IL went Home to her perfect joy on July 18th, 2017 at 5:54am under the amazing care of St. Joseph's in Springfield, IL and was surrounded by family.

Sheryl is the wife of Joseph Geisler, and the mother of Philip Krupps (wife Erin and son Crew) of Quincy, IL, Seth Geisler of Mt. Sterling, IL, and Katherine "Katie" Geisler of Springfield, IL.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donnie Krupps in 1979, but is survived by her parents, David and Wilma Beatty of Springfield, as well as two siblings Kevin Beatty (wife Mardana) of Rochester and William "Bill" Beatty (wife Debbie) of Springfield.

Sheryl had a life long career as a Registered Nurse but after a severe stroke in 1997 left the floor and turned her passion into education becoming a nursing instructor despite her challenges physically for both Brown County Schools and John Wood. In 2010 she was diagnosed with small cell stage four lung cancer but even in the midst of pain and treatment continued to teach and even was blessed with the role of a school nurse for Rushville Schools. In 2014 she underwent surgery to miraculously become cancer free. She retired after that point to care for her husband, Joe. In 2016 she developed two brain tumors but continued her devotion as wife and mother.

There was nothing greater in Sheryl's life than sharing her love of Jesus Christ and His love with all she encountered. Very seldom was it ever by word, but her complete servant heart and actions. In those efforts she sponsored 100's to encounter Christ in either Teens Encounter Christ (TEC), Cursillo, or Walk to Emmaus. All of which she participated in service as a leader, musician, or director. Joe and Sheryl were youth group leaders for over 20 years, and led mission trips all over, specifically with Catholic Heart Work Camps.

Sheryl was a beautiful musician that shared her angelic voice in countless formats and her guitar was never far from her side. While born and raised in Springfield, her heart skipped a beat finding time in Waverly, IL at the farm and on her horses. That love led her to Mt Sterling, IL with her first love Donnie, where she fell in love with the Krupps family. After his tragic passing, she was blessed by a man willing with joy to be a husband and father to Philip in Joe Geisler and the welcoming love of his Geisler family. She was committed to their farm life and loved the work and beauty of the farm that brought them Seth and Katie. She instilled the ideals of Faith and Family into her children while leading by example to excel in their work ethic, but never looking past the needs of others.

Aunt Sheryl loved all of her nieces and nephews with much conviction but always keeping the expectation for their personal relationship with Christ.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017 in the Holy Family Catholic Church in Mt. Sterling.

Burial will be in the Mt. Sterling Catholic Cemetery.
