Brenda Cheryl Wilson, age 74, of Camp Point, Illinois passed away at 3:55 a.m. Saturday, December 25, 2021 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.
She was born January 29, 1947 in Quincy, Illinois the daughter of Russell Clyde and Evelyn Ruth Long Keylor. She married Robert Wayne Wilson on June 16, 1968 in the Mt. Sterling First Baptist Church, and he survives.
Brenda graduated from Brown County High School with the class of 1965 and from Blessing School of Nursing in 1968. She then served as a registered nurse for Blessing Hospital for 42 years, retiring in May of 2010. Mrs. Wilson was a devoted member of the Versailles First Baptist Church. Brenda always enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, watching birds and taking pictures, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband Robert “Bob” Wilson of Camp Point, Illinois. 2 sons Tim Wilson of Camp Point, Illinois and Tom Wilson (Melissa) of The Colony, Texas. 7 grandchildren Kaleb Reinold, Hunter, Evan, Annette, Layton, Landon and Lance Wilson. 2 brothers Zane Keylor (Dorothy) of Timewell, Illinois and Daryl Keylor (Kathy) of Virginia, Illinois. 3 sisters Pamela Wegs (Jim) of Georgetown, Kentucky, Sandra Fluent of Quincy, Illinois and Twila Keylor of Mt. Sterling, Illinois also survive along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 1 daughter Tammy Reinold, 1 daughter-in-law Miranda Wilson, 1 son-in-law Rob Reinold, 1 granddaughter Addie Wilson and her parents.
Funeral services and a nurse honor guard service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021 in the Versailles First Baptist Church.
Burial will follow in the Versailles West Side Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services on Thursday at the church.
The state of Illinois has mandated that those attending the visitation or services wear a mask.
A recording of the funeral services will be available to view on the funeral home website Thursday afternoon.
Memorials are suggested to the Versailles First Baptist Church.
