Brooke (Reische) Hedden

Brooke Suzanne (Reische) Hedden, age 35, of Fort Myers, Florida and formerly of Mt. Sterling, Illinois passed away at 12:37 a.m. Sunday, July 5, 2020 at her residence. 

She was born February 8, 1985 in Quincy, Illinois the daughter of Daniel Raymond and Cathy Lynne Wilkerson Reische.  She married Brian Hedden on September 1, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Sterling, Illinois and to this union two children Addison and Isaac were born.  

Brooke graduated from Brown County High School with the class of 2003 and also attended Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School in Springfield, Missouri and then worked as a hairdresser for several years. 

She was of the Christian faith.  

Brooke always enjoyed spending time with her family and especially loved taking pictures of her children.  

Survivors include 2 children Addison and Isaac Hedden both of Mt. Sterling.  Her mother and stepfather Cathy and Jon Heckel of Mt. Sterling.  Her father Daniel Reische of Mt. Sterling.  2 brothers Jason Reische (Amanda) and Kurt Reische (Erica) all of Mt. Sterling.  3 nieces and nephews Hayden, Grayson and Zoie Reische all of Mt. Sterling.  Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. 

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Horace Wilkerson and Iona Phillips and paternal grandparents Earl and Mary Reische.  

We know that Brooke deserves a beautiful tribute and understand that under normal circumstances many friends would love to attend.  But sadly due to the current health situation and the limitation on gatherings of only 50 people, the services are to be conducted with only family members in attendance. 

Friends are encouraged to watch Brooke’s services streaming live at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 10, 2020 on the funeral home website at hendrickerfuneralhome.com.  

We also encourage the community to leave a condolence or remembrance on the website for the family.

Burial will be in the Hersman Cemetery.  

There will be no visitation. 

Memorials are suggested to PAWS of Jacksonville and may be  left or mailed to the Hendricker Funeral Home, 406 South Capitol Avenue, Mt. Sterling, IL 62353.
