She was born on August 2, 1926 the youngest daughter of George and Florence McEntee Busen’s seven children. She graduated from Perry rural school and St. Mary’s Academy with the class of 1944.
She married Arlie Lozelle Davis on August 17, 1944 at St. Mary’s rectory. They were the parents of seven children, Michael Davis, a still born baby girl, Connie Rosa (Mike), Kent Davis (Deborah), Ann Altevogt (Keith) and Sharon Illa (Craig). She was a loving grandmother to 10 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Elinor was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Nocturnal Adoration and Mt. Sterling American Legion Post #374 Auxiliary. She was a census taker, home healthcare worker, election judge for Cooperstown township and a volunteer at Saint Mary’s Academy. She was a partner with her husband on their farm, devoted mother and grandmother. She loved family gatherings, bowling, playing cards, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and helping others.
She brought the best out of every person blessed to call her wife, mother, sister, friend or neighbor. “Mo”, as she was affectionately known by her grandchildren, devoted her life to family. Her presence will be remembered by the quietness and beauty of the family farm; a gathering at the kitchen table; the crack of a Cubs baseball bat; the sight of a rosary or an empty pew at church.
Cremation will be accorded and a private memorial mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mt. Sterling.
Burial of the cremated remains will be in the Mt. Sterling Catholic Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
