Florence Frost

Florence Eileen Frost, age 87, of Versailles, Illinois passed away at 12:25 p.m. on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Heritage Health, Therapy and Senior Care in Mt. Sterling. 

She was born April 14, 1934 in Morgan County, Illinois the daughter of Arthur and Lydia Boehs Enke.  She married Morris Dale Frost on April 18, 1982 and he preceded her in death on August 11, 1987.

Mrs. Frost was a school bus driver for Brown County Community Unit District # 1 for over 26 years.

She graduated from Chapin High School with the class of 1951.

Florence was a member of LaGrange Chapel in Brown County, where she served as song leader for many years. 

She always enjoyed sewing and gardening and was known to be an excellent cook.

Survivors include a son Donnie Whewell of Meredosia, a daughter Donna Sorrill (Dennis) of Versailles and grandson Drew Sorrill (Ashley) and great grandson Jonah all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and grandson Douglas Sorrill (Fiancee, Blake Barringer) of St. Charles, Missouri, son Archie Whewell (Susan) and grandson Brian Whewell (Kimmie) and great grandchildren Gracie, Jocelyn and Brylee all of Versailles.  A step grandson Greg Frost of South Jacksonville, Illinois also survives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother Aldo Enke.

Per her request cremation will be accorded and private graveside services will be held in the Versailles West Side Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.

Memorials are suggested to the LaGrange Chapel or the Versailles Pool and may be left at or mailed to the Hendricker Funeral  Home, 406 South Capitol Avenue, Mt. Sterling, Illinois 62353.
