Mr. Francis Merle Henrick, age 90, of Quincy, Illinois and formerly of Mt. Sterling and Golden, passed away at 7:24 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at his residence.
He was born November 11, 1929 in Camp Point, Illinois the son of Albert and Algretta Smith Henrick. He married Patricia Rose Gorst Davis on April 10, 1982 in Mt. Sterling and she survives.
Mr. Henrick worked for the Burlington Northern railroad for 25 years. Earlier in life he worked as a bartender at the West End Tavern in Clayton, Illinois and was engaged in farming.
Francis was a veteran of the Korean War and served his country in the United States Army.
Survivors include his wife Patricia Henrick of Quincy, Illinois. 2 children David Henrick (Stephanie) of Fulshear, Texas and Stacia Workman of Benton, Illinois. 2 stepchildren Bob Davis of Jacksonville, Illinois and Theresa Clark of Champaign, Illinois. 8 grandchildren Abby and Alexis Clark both of Champaign, Virginia West of Portland, Oregan, Melissa Carr, Regan Henrick of Katy, Texas, Hunter Henrick of Chicago, Illinois and Reese and Paige Henrick both of Fulshear, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son Jeffrey Henrick, 1 stepson Allen Davis, 2 grandsons Jeff and George Workman and 1 granddaughter Jenna Gieker.
Per his request, cremation will be accorded and there will be no services at this time.
