Kurt Sides Obituary

Kurt Alan Sides, age 59, of Jacksonville, Illinois passed away at 7:35 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2020 at his residence. 

He was born August 6, 1960 in Clinton, Illinois the son of Graydon Dale and Barbara Anne Yeakel Sides.  

Kurt worked as a cook for several Jacksonville area restaurants. 

He graduated from DeLand-Weldon High School with the class of 1978. 

Kurt was a true nature lover, who always enjoyed mushroom hunting and fishing. 

Survivors include his mother Barbara Sides of Versailles, Illinois.  2 sisters Vicky Jackson of Wildwood, Missouri and Mary Wiese of Versailles, Illinois.  2 brothers Richard and Mark Sides both of Versailles, Illinois.  1 aunt Shirley Moore of Timewell, Illinois also survives along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his father. 

Cremation will be accorded and a private burial of the cremated remains will be in the Versailles West Side Cemetery. 

There will be no visitation. 

Memorials are suggested to PAWS in Jacksonville, Illinois and may be left at or mailed to the Hendricker Funeral Home, 406 South Capitol Avenue, Mt. Sterling, IL 62353.
