Monica Westlake

Monica Jolene “Mickey”  Westlake age 80, a resident of Heritage Health, Therapy and Senior Care in Mt. Sterling, Illinois passed away at 2:26 P.M. on Tuesday November 24, 2020 at the nursing home.

She was born March 7, 1940 in Cambria County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Leopold and Mildred Fees Rogers. She married Richard Donald Westlake in April of 1967.

Monica was a homemaker and had also worked as a home healthcare nurses aid for several years. 

She graduated from Cambria Heights Senior High School in Patton, Pennsylvania with the class of 1961.

Monica was of the Catholic faith and was a true animal lover who especially loved raising cats and she also enjoyed making crafts and working on puzzles. 

Survivors include 3 daughters Katrina Pierson of Boerne, Texas, Rebecca “Becky” Blount (Dale) of Lakehills, Texas and Regina “Gina” Nix of Hutchinson, Minnesota. 7 grandchildren Joseph, Dustin, Kiarra, LaToya, Hosanna, DeLaire and Donovan. 1 great grandson Jaxon. 4 sisters Lois, Jean, Marci and Bonnie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother Paul and 1 sister Peggy. 

Cremation will be accorded and private memorial services will be held with only the immediate family in attendance. Friends are invited to view the services streaming live on the funeral home website(hendrickerfuneralhome.com) at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday December 2, 2020.

There will be no visitation.
