Shirley Jean Fry, age 75, of Versailles, Illinois passed away at 4:25 p.m. Monday, February 3, 2020 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.
She was born December 15, 1944 in White Hall, Illinois the daughter of Richard and Maudie Leach McGlasson. She married Frederick Earl Fry on December 2, 1961 at the White Hall Christian Church in White Hall, Illinois and he preceded her in death on November 7, 2008.
Mrs. Fry was a homemaker and had also worked at Mobile Chemical in Jacksonville for several years.
She graduated from White Hall High School and was a member of the Versailles Christian Church. Shirley always loved boating, watching the hummingbirds and especially enjoyed the time spent with her family.
Survivors include 2 sons Rick Fry (Stacey) of Clayton, Illinois and Kerry Fry (Sandy) of Versailles, Illinois. 4 grandchildren Brock Fry, Brandi Fry, Anakin Bauer and Sam Kahs. 4 great grandchildren Brooklyn Rose Shaw, Bryson Allen Fry, Braxton Dean Fry and Grant Woodson Fry. 1 aunt Joyce Ray of Glasgow, Illinois also survives along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister Audrey.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 7, 2020 in the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling with Tad Sorrells officiating.
Burial will follow in the Versailles West Side Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
